Storm Damage Repair in Slaughterville, Handled by One Person

Hail and high wind can bruise shingles, lift edges and dent metal without leaving a drip inside. We look over your roof, photograph what the storm did, explain it in plain words and fix it. One person handles your questions from the first visit to the last nail swept up.

What Storm Damage Repair Covers

Storm damage repair means fixing what a specific storm broke. That can be cracked or missing shingles, mats bruised by hail, torn flashing, dented vents or bent gutters. It is not the same as normal wear, and that difference matters if you plan to use your homeowners insurance.

Spring in central Oklahoma brings hail and straight-line wind, and plenty of roofs take hits you can't see from the yard. We get up on the roof, mark each hit, take photos and tell you straight whether it needs a repair or a full roof replacement. Some storms only call for a handful of shingles.

You deal with one person the whole way. The same person who walks your roof answers your calls, meets the adjuster if you want, sets the crew schedule and checks the cleanup. We've run storm jobs this way through 30+ years of roofing experience.

What the Work Includes

Roof walk and photo record
We check shingles, ridge caps, flashing, vents, skylights and gutters. You get photos of each problem with a short note on what caused it.
Storm damage sorted from old wear
Hail leaves soft spots and knocks granules loose. Wind creases tabs and breaks the seal strip. Age looks different, and we tell you which is which so nothing gets padded.
Temporary cover when needed
If the storm opened up part of your roof, we can cover the spot to keep water out of your home until the repair is on the schedule.
Shingle, flashing and vent repair
We replace damaged shingles and match them as close as current products allow. Bent flashing and cracked vent boots get replaced, not smeared with caulk.
Gutter and downspout fixes
Hail dents gutters and wind pulls them off the fascia. We repair or replace the damaged runs so water leaves the roof the way it should. Our Gutters page has more on that work.
Help with insurance paperwork
We give you photos and a written scope you can send to your insurer. We explain the claim steps and can be there when the adjuster comes out. The adjuster decides coverage, not us.

Signs a Storm Damaged Your Roof

  • Granules at the downspouts

A pile of dark grit where the downspouts empty means hail knocked the protective layer off your shingles.

  • Dents in soft metal

Check gutters, vent caps and the fins on your AC unit. If hail dented those, it hit your shingles just as hard.

  • Shingle pieces in the yard

Torn tabs or whole shingles on the lawn after a windy night mean there are bare spots up top.

  • New ceiling stains

A brown ring that shows up after a storm usually points to lifted shingles or torn flashing above it. Stains can take a few rains to appear.

  • Lifted or creased edges

From the ground, look for shingles that flap, curl up or show a straight crease line. The seal is broken and the next wind will finish the job.

How a Storm Repair Job Runs

  1. 1

You call and tell us what happened

Let us know when the storm came through and what you've noticed. We set a time to come out that works for you.

  2. 2

    Inspection and photos

We walk the roof, mark the hits and take photos. Then we come down and go over them with you on the ground.

  3. 3

    Written scope and claim help

You get a written, line-item estimate. If you file a claim, we help with the paperwork and can meet the adjuster on the roof.

  4. 4

    Repair day

We cover plants and protect the driveway before anyone climbs up. The crew does the work and your contact checks on it during the day.

  5. 5

    Cleanup and final walk

We run a magnet over the yard for nails and haul off old material. Then we walk the job with you.

What Drives the Price of Storm Repair

Storms hit every roof differently, so storm jobs never cost the same. Our price comes from what we find up there, and you get it in writing before any work begins. When insurance is part of it, the scope they approve also affects the total.

How much of the roof got hit
Damage on one corner or one side of the roof means a short day and a few bundles of shingles. Hail marks from ridge to eave on every slope mean patching no longer makes sense, and a new roof becomes part of the discussion.
Slope and height of the house
Steep pitches and two-story rooflines call for harness lines, roof jacks and careful footing. That prep takes hours before any shingle comes off.
Finding shingles that match
Manufacturers stop making older shingle lines. Without a close match, a larger part of the roof may need new shingles so it looks right and seals properly.
The decking underneath
When water has gotten in, soft or rotted boards must be replaced before new shingles go on. You see photos of it before we add that to the job.

Storm Damage Repair Questions

Something not covered here? (572) 232-5994

Do I have to file an insurance claim?

No. Some storm damage is small enough that paying out of pocket makes more sense than paying your deductible. We show you the damage and the repair cost so you can decide. If you file, we help with the paperwork.

How long do I have after a storm to get it checked?

Every policy sets its own time limit, so check yours. Either way, it's best not to wait. Damage that sits gets harder to tie to one storm, and small openings let in more water each rain.

Will you meet the insurance adjuster?

Yes, if you want us there. We point out what we found and share our photos. The adjuster makes the coverage call, and we'll explain what their report means once you have it.

Can you just repair it, or do I need a new roof?

Many storm jobs are repairs. If hail hit every slope or the shingles were already near the end of their life, replacement may be the better answer. We tell you which and why, with photos.

How do I know you're not a storm chaser?

We work out of Slaughterville and serve towns nearby like Noble, Norman and Purcell. You'll have one person's number for the whole job, before and after the crew leaves.
