Roof Repair in Slaughterville With One Person on Your Job

We fix leaks, lifted shingles, cracked vent boots and loose flashing. The same person who looks at your roof answers your questions, sets the schedule and checks the work when the crew is done. You'll know what's wrong and what it costs before we start.

When a repair is the right call

Most roofs that leak don't need replacing. A blown-off tab, a cracked rubber boot around a vent pipe, or flashing that pulled loose at a chimney can let water in on a roof that still has years left. Fixing that one spot costs far less than a new roof, and done right it holds.

We bring 30+ years of roofing experience to every repair, and that time mostly teaches you where water really gets in. It often runs along the decking before it drips, so the stain on your ceiling may sit a few feet from the actual hole. We look for the source, not the stain.

If the shingles are brittle across the whole roof, or the decking is soft in several places, we'll tell you a patch is money poorly spent and walk you through what roof replacement would involve. The decision is yours, with the facts in front of you.

What a repair from us includes

Finding the source
We start under the roof, then climb up top and compare the two. Water marks on the decking, damp insulation and rusty nail tips show the path back to the opening.
Shingle replacement
Missing or creased shingles are replaced and matched as closely as we can. We break the seal on the shingles around them carefully, so we don't damage good ones getting the old ones out.
Flashing and vent boots
Chimney, wall and valley flashing gets resealed or replaced. Cracked pipe boots are swapped out, since the rubber on them usually gives out before the shingles do.
Small decking repairs
If plywood or OSB is rotted under the leak, we cut it out and replace it before new shingles go down. Shingles nailed over soft wood won't hold.
Cleanup
We pick up the old shingles and run a magnet over the yard and driveway for nails before we leave.

Signs your roof needs a repair

  • A stain on the ceiling

A brown ring or bubbled paint usually means water has been getting in for a while. It can be small and still be steady.

  • Shingles in the yard

Finding tabs on the ground after a strong Oklahoma wind means bare mat or underlayment is showing up top. That spot is open to the next rain.

  • Granules piling at downspouts

Some granule loss is normal on a new roof. Heavy piles on an older roof mean the shingles are wearing thin in places.

  • A drip near a vent or chimney

Leaks around a bathroom fan, furnace flue or chimney point to flashing or a boot, not the open field of the roof.

  • Curled or lifted edges

Shingles that flap or curl let wind-driven rain slip underneath.

How a repair job goes

  1. 1

You call and we talk it through

You'll speak with the person who will handle your job. Tell us what you're seeing and where, and we'll set a time to come look.

  2. 2

    We look and show you

We walk the roof, and when there's an attic hatch we crawl in there too. We take photos of what we find so you see the problem instead of just hearing about it.

  3. 3

    You get the price first

We explain the fix and what it costs, line by line. If something could change once the old shingles come off, like rotted decking, we tell you up front how that part is priced.

  4. 4

    Repair day

The crew covers plants and the area under the work, makes the repair and seals it. A single-spot repair usually takes part of a day.

  5. 5

    Final walk

Your contact checks the work and the cleanup with the crew before they leave, then answers anything you still want to ask.

What moves the price of a repair

We price a repair after we've seen it, not over the phone. A ceiling stain says little about what's going on up top. One might need a single new boot, another a run of flashing and a sheet of decking. Either way, you'll have the price before any work starts.

Where the leak is
A leak in the open field of the roof is simpler than one at a chimney, skylight or valley, where several pieces meet.
Pitch and height
Steep or two-story roofs need more safety setup and take longer to work on.
What's under the shingles
Rotted wood adds material and labor. We can't always see how far it goes until the shingles come up, so we explain ahead of time how that part is handled.
Matching your shingles
Older or discontinued shingles can be hard to match. A close match sometimes costs more than a standard bundle.

Questions people ask about roof repair

Something not covered here? (572) 232-5994

Can you fix it, or do I need a whole new roof?

In most cases a repair is enough. After we get up on the roof, you'll hear plainly which way it goes. If the whole roof is worn out, we'll say so and explain why another patch won't hold up.

Will people be able to see the patch on an older roof?

Usually the match is close, but rarely perfect on day one. Sunlight fades shingles, so new ones of the same product can look a little different until a season or two of weather evens them out. When your shingle is no longer made, we bring the nearest match onto the roof so you can hold it up next to yours before we nail anything down.

Who do I call with questions during the repair?

The same person you spoke with the first time. They schedule the crew and know your roof, so nobody passes you along to someone else.

Does hail damage count as a regular repair?

Damage from hail and wind tends to run through insurance, so we handle it as storm damage repair. We'll walk you through how a claim usually goes and hand over our photos of the damage. Coverage is your adjuster's call, not ours.

Do you work in towns besides Slaughterville?

We do. We take roof repair jobs in Noble, Norman, Purcell, Goldsby and other nearby towns. See the Service Areas page, or just ask when you call.
