Roof Replacement in Slaughterville
When patching no longer makes sense, we tear off the old roof, check the decking and build a new one from the boards up. One person handles your job from the first look to the last nail swept from the yard, so you always know who to ask.
When It's Time for a Whole New Roof
A tired roof doesn't always need to come off. When the trouble is one bad flashing or a handful of raised shingles, a roof repair costs less, and we'll say that. Replacement makes sense once the shingles are worn everywhere, new leaks keep showing up in different spots, or hail and wind have caused more damage than patching can handle.
Here, spring hail bruises shingles, summer sun bakes them and winter ice works into any weak seam. After enough years of that, a roof sheds granules and its edges curl, and a new roof ends the run of one patch after another.
We put 30+ years of roofing experience into making that call. One person inspects your roof, explains what turned up, writes your estimate and sticks with the job until the crew pulls out.
What Comes With a Roof Replacement
- Tear-off down to the boards
- Old shingles and underlayment come off until the decking is bare. Putting new shingles over old ones covers up problems, so we begin from scratch.
- Decking inspection and fixes
- With the boards exposed, we check them for rot, soft spots and layers pulling apart. We show you photos, then replace the bad sections.
- Underlayment and edge membrane
- Every board gets covered in synthetic underlayment. Along the valleys and lower edges, where water runs and winter ice builds up, we add a self-sealing membrane that closes around each nail.
- New flashing, boots and vents
- Wall and chimney flashing is replaced, plumbing vents get fresh boots, and attic ventilation is set so summer heat can escape.
- Shingles and the ridge
- We nail shingles in the pattern the maker specifies, which counts for a lot in Oklahoma wind. Ridge cap goes on last along the top.
- Cleanup and walk-around
- Before tear-off starts, we cover shrubs, flower beds and the lower walls of the house. After the ridge cap is on, we roll a magnet across the lawn and driveway for loose nails, then walk the new roof with you.
Signs Your Home Needs a New Roof
Granules in the gutters
Shingles shed their gritty coating as they age. Piles of it at the downspouts mean the shingles are near the end.
Shingles that dish up or snap
Look at the shingle edges from the ground. If they turn up like a saucer, or a corner breaks off instead of flexing, the shingle has dried out and won't lie flat again.
Water stains in several rooms
A single drip usually traces back to one flaw we can fix. Ceiling marks turning up in different rooms tell us the roof is wearing out everywhere.
Sagging rooflines
A dip between rafters usually means wet or rotted decking. That needs attention before it spreads.
Heavy hail or wind damage
When bruises, missing tabs and torn shingles cover most slopes, patching just chases the damage. Our storm damage repair page explains how we look at it.
How the Job Runs
- 1
Look and listen
We get on the roof and in the attic, take photos and hear what you have noticed. Then we tell you plainly whether you need repair or replacement.
- 2
Written estimate
You get a line-by-line estimate covering materials, tear-off, decking allowance and cleanup. Your same contact walks you through it and answers questions.
- 3
Scheduling and prep
We set a day around the weather and give you a heads-up the day before. Materials arrive, and tarps go down around the house.
- 4
Tear-off and build
Most homes are torn off and reroofed in a day or two. Your contact is on hand to update you and call you if the decking needs more work than planned.
- 5
Walk-around and warranty
We sweep the yard, check every slope with you and go over your 10-year workmanship warranty before we pack up.

What Sets the Price
Each roof gets its own price. We measure yours and write out what makes up the total, so nothing pops up later. These are the biggest drivers.
- Roof size and slope
- Additional squares add material and labor. A steep slope needs more safety equipment and makes the crew work slower.
- How many layers come off
- An extra layer of old shingles means twice the tear-off and twice the hauling.
- State of the decking
- Soft or rotted boards must be swapped out. Some of it stays hidden until tear-off, so the estimate spells out how we handle it.
- Which shingles you pick
- Three-tab, architectural and impact-rated shingles are each priced differently. We explain the pros and cons so you can choose.
- Add-ons like vents and gutters
- More ventilation, new chimney flashing or gutters done at the same time will each change the final number.
Roof Replacement Questions
Something not covered here? (572) 232-5994
How long does a new roof take?
Most single-story homes take one to two days once we start. Bigger or steeper roofs can take longer. Weather is the main thing that moves the date, and we will tell you before it changes.
Do I need to be home during the work?
No. It helps if you can step outside for a few minutes when the crew arrives and again once the last slope is done, so we can point out anything worth seeing. Your contact will have your number and call if something comes up. Pets are best kept inside or away from the house during tear-off.
Will insurance pay for my roof?
If hail or wind caused the damage, it may. We take photos and explain what we found so you can file your claim. The adjuster and your policy decide coverage, not us.
What warranty comes with the work?
Our labor is backed by a 10-year workmanship warranty. The shingles themselves may carry separate coverage from their maker, and we explain which covers what before we start.
How do I know you are a good company?
We carry a BBB A+ rating and have 30+ years of roofing experience. More than that, you get one person to call with every question, from the estimate to the cleanup.
Can you do gutters at the same time?
Yes. Replacing gutters with the roof saves a second setup and lets us tie the drip edge in properly. See our gutters page for more.
